Possibly the only place to get a Cobb Salad on the north side of Santa Fe, but there's a problem... The Santa Fe Bar and Grill insists on "Santa Fe-ing" their Cobb Salad by adding radishes, jimica, poblono peppers, and tortilla chips... So what you get isn't REALLY a cobb salad at all. so if you order one, make sure that your order taker KNOWS that you want a REAL cobb salad, and the kitchen staffers will hapily correct the issue.

Meh. I'm sure there are MUCH MUCH better places to grab lunch in Santa Fe. We were starving, the weather was sucky and tired of looking for a place to eat. Service was not that good, the food wasn't special and it basically feels like a TGI Friday's. Find something else!

One piece of advice for San Francisco Street Bar and Grill...in a town flowing with awesome margaritas, try squeezing some limes. Their happy hour margarita was of the premixed variety, right down to the tequila. Just shake and pour. Maybe at T.G.I.F. But not in Santa Fe.

Saw this little place from the Ore House across the street and were intrigued. They had quite good food. I had the pork which was very tender and had a great gravy sauce. The mashed potatoes were a little cold. One of the others I was with got the bacon wrapped pork and it seemed like they had a flare-up and the bacon was quite burned. The rest of the group was pretty happy with their meals. The drinks were a little small and pricey but overall a pretty good place. No parking but a public garage down the street. I'd give it a 3.5-4 star, not sure if it's a full 4.

Very, very disappointed ... mediocre service, really really poor food. beer selection was poor. had a pasta dish wish a suppossedly home-made marina ... tasted like ketchup. italian sausage was dry and unflavorful. a few in our party had ok dishes, but a few of us didn't get very far. one dish was actually sent back. it's too bad ... this place could be great.

AWFUL SERVICE RATING SHOULD BE -0! Sat down at 6pm, ordered drinks and then our meal. 45 minutes later, we barely had drink refills, no meal and other patrons around us who came after us were being served. When we asked the waitress, she said " it's coming, I can see it". Time passes, nothing. Then, the waitress came up to us and ask 2 of us if we ordered the Pork Chop and Steak, and we said "are you just putting this order in?' She relied, No she just like to check. Finally, after NEVER receiving our meal after more then an hour, we talked to I presume, was the poor excuse for the owner/manager, and he never apologized. In fact none of them did, and the Owner said we were welcome to leave. This is the 2nd time we have had BAD SERVICE at this place. We are LOCALS and will be sure to spread the word!! SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! By the way, the food is mediocre!

Ordered a steak sandwich and it was all fat. Took one bite and sent it back. Ruined my appetite completely! Won't go back there again nor would I recommend it!

Food is great! Service is wonderful! Selection of beers is good! The bartender is knowledgable friendly and very skilled. I had the tuna sandwich and butternut squash soup it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant

One visit to this strangely popular eatery (located near the Plaza) is enough. Very bad service, mediocre food, and forgettable ambiance leave little to compliment. We ordered the green chili cheeseburgers, only to find that the cheese and green chili are cost add-ons ($11). The burgers were served with greasy, limp French fries - possibly the worst I have had in Santa Fe. Both burgers were ordered medium well but were served closer to rare than medium. Even though it was busy on the Friday night we visited, it shouldn't have taken nearly thirty minutes to get served. Skip this place in favor of Santa Fe Bite, which is so much better in every respect.

Don't go here. The food was extremely disappointing. The atmosphere is somewhat cafeteria-like, and we weren't checked on once by the waiter throughout the meal. We both had burgers. The flavor resembled that of fast food. I don't even like ketchup, but I drenched the burger in it to cover up the other unappealing flavors. I paid an extra $1 for BBQ sauce that didn't taste like BBQ sauce whatsoever. I would honestly recommend skipping this place and heading to McDonalds. I'm not one to complain about food because I appreciate the effort that goes into cooking it, but this burger wasn't worth the $11 at all. I think I would recommend just about any other Santa Fe restaurant over this one.

Avoid this place. Stopped in while playing tourist hoped for quick service. Cold food and forgettable manager. Nothing special here.

Great place!! Stopped by for a drink but ended up getting quesadillas and calamari with drinks. Both plates were GREAT. I recommend the quesadillas, very tasty and filled with yummy goodness; they are packed with cheese and meat. I ordered a John Daly (vodka lemonade) and I LOVED IT. it was refreshing and not too strong. It was served in a regular glass--which is a lot for any vodka drink. My dad ordered a la cumbre beer (a locally made beer) and was happy with it. My mom ordered the calamari and loved it. My folks and I appreciated the fine service and attention we received. It's rare to find a place where workers are attentive, friendly and genuine.

Forget Santa Fe, this is the best place in the Southwest! Great brews, GNP, burgers, salads, and steaks. I've never had a bad meal here. Perfect location in downtown that is easy to walk to. The atmosphere is 5 star. Great dining area with a sweet bar. They really know what they are doing and it shows. They have awesome lunch specials that I always try and they blow my mind. I've taken many business colleagues and customers here and they always want to go back. The service is one of a kind. They are professional and know what you want without telling them. Management is supreme, they always know how to keep their regulars and bring in new customers. I can't wait to back! Mmmm hatch chilis Cheers!

I stopped by with my mum during a visit from Denver. The only reason we went is because it was the only place close that was open. We got the house margaritas (tasty), I got the Flautas and my mum got Chile Rellanos. I had asked for two potato and one cheese (instead of getting one chicken, one cheese, one potato). When our order came, I received two chicken and one cheese - no big deal. Told the server and she went to fix it, only to find out they were out of potato. This would have been fine if I was told, but I wasn't and was offered another cheese (which I didn't want). When my server came back she said the cook found another potato. Ok. The food tasted frozen then microwaved. Was not impressed. Service was fine but the only thing I enjoyed was my margarita.

I agree with the writer who said this place rates a 'meh'. Visited on a Monday night with few people in the place. We saw the special signs outside and ordered them. The waiter ( who looked about 12 years old) looked at us like we were nuts. He was quite disdainful too. Turns out these were lunch specials. Note to manager: CHANGE YOUR FRIGGIN SPECIAL BOARD. The wait service was terrible- slow and with a side of arrogance. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich I had the enchiladas . Average. Luckily, I ordered the salsa on the side (which I had to explain to the waiter- again, more distain) even the red is HOT! If I could give a 1/2 star, I would. Find another restaurant!

A good place for high school kids or tourists who don't know any better, but not for people who really care about food, drink and ambience. If you find yourself at this local establishment, I recommend you turn around, go back downstairs and walk a few blocks to Del Charro or amble over to Marble Brewery. You'll be happy you did.

It was a great place to stop and have a beer, the service was not wonderful but they had a good selection of beers. Out of all the little places we stopped this was not the best. But they did provide and clean and simple place to grab a beer between shopping and people watching.

One of those experiences where when you leave, you really wish you had just packed a lunch. Everything about the place was sub-par. My wife and I went for lunch on a Sunday and should have gone somewhere else in the plaza. The stair case up to an open bar and lots of windows drew us in and we bellied up to the bar for a few drinks and a meal. It took about 10 minutes to even get service from the bartender, who was assigned a table all the way across the restaurant. He came over to make a drink and take it to that table a few times before even acknowledging us. I ordered the Cod Sandwich and my wife had the huevos rancheros. I could not finish the sandwich because it was so flavorlessly bland, and cold. I wish I had sent it back. My wife had a similarly bland experience with all the parts of her dish. However, the beers were cold and the Bloody Mary spicy, so at least they got that right. The bartender never really spoke to us, and never asked how we were doing - we had to get his attention each time we wanted something. While the manager's insults to him about his incompetencies amused us, we could only give a pass for "oh, he/she is brand new here" for the bartender, server, hostess a a couple times before we just didn't believe that every single person in the restaurant was new. I originally rated it two stars, but after reading some of the other reviews that say similar things, and thinking about it more, I had to come back and change it to just a single star. There are just too many good options a short walk away!
My daughter, one of my friends and I recently spent a day in Santa Fe, NM. We walked round and round town visiting museums and shops and galleries. We were spent and hot and tired! We were also hungry. My friend suggested that we stop by a nearby restaurant, but didn't tell us that we had to hike up stairs to get inside the restaurant. Fortunately for me, they also have an elevator because I was too beat to walk up all those stairs. Here's what we ordered: Fresh Chips and Salsa - Tasty Fried Calamari - Properly cooked and not overly done or tough. Calamari can easily be destroyed, but theirs wasn't. Could have used some more seasoning, but not bad at all. Chicken Burrito - My friend said his burrito was tasty and it looked appetizing. Shrimp Enchiladas - Came with Spanish rice, black beans and avocado. Served "Christmas" with part green chile sauce and red chile sauce. I enjoyed the green chile sauce because it actually had a mix of seasonings. I didn't really enjoy the red chile sauce because it was pretty much one note with heat being the predominant factor in the sauce and the texture was a little pasty. Overall a decent dish, with the exception of the red chile sauce. Chicken Tacos - Delicioso! Moist, well-seasoned chicken and fresh ingredients. I would order these tacos again and again! The atmosphere at the restaurant is pleasant enough and it's centrally located and not hard to find. So, would I go out of my way for this restaurant, probably not. But if you're in the area and need a decent meal with helpful service, this is your place.

We had a wonderful dinner but when you pay twenty dollars for a meal, you don't expect a crowd of loud yelling and swearing patrons sitting 3 tables away from you. I complained to the waiter when he brought our check and he apologized, not his fault and said that other customers had asked to be moved to another location. I also talked with the manager and all he said was he was sorry but he did not hear any swearing. Go to other restaurants, where they care for their clients. Will never go back there again

This place just embodies the word "meh". The prices are pretty standard plaza prices ($10-20 for an entree) but the product...super lacking. The atmosphere is terrible. Looks like they converted a Golden Corral or something and turned it in to this awful aesthetic lacking anything remotely trendy. Throwback to the 80s-90s, but not in a good way. The staff laughed and joked loudly while ignoring the customers. The pasta was homemade...the only positive. Everything was bland. The food, the decor, the service. Skip this place, and head somewhere more worth your time and money.

WARNING. Read the yelp reviews. Only tourists with no access to yelp would ever ever eat here. Stopped for a late lunch. Restaurant was empty. Took an hour to get a couple of sandwiches and salads, then everything was cold and really poorly prepared. Absolutely worst restaurant in Santa Fe. So many good restaurants in town no reason to eat here.

We had a horrible time. First, we ordered drinks, they came in good time but then when we asked for a glass of water, we were still waiting more than 20 minutes later and two additional requests. We order two simple entree's, enchilada plate and taco plate. After 40 minutes and three inquires into where our dinner was, we finally paid for the drinks and left. Second, I had gone to the bar to inquire to speak with the manager and the bartender was rude and snotty. The sad part is that we have eaten there in years past and were very pleased. NOT NOW. We were so disappointed that we will never return. There are too many GREAT Mexican restaurants in Santa Fe to put up with snotty bartenders and managers that would not even comp us the appetizer for having to wait over 40 minutes for tacos and enchiladas. Time to replace the management and get some people persons in there.

I came here with my family when we visited Santa Fe recently. Here's what we ordered and what we thought: Carne adovada quesadilla- tasty and tender, but the meat was pretty salty on it's own. Butternut squash ravioli- rich and savory, and VERY sweet. It was very good, but needed a salty touch. Our suggestion? Add Bacon! :) Nachos w/ steak- good (and filling) appetizer I wouldn't suggest this restaurant as a "must" on your list of places to eat in Santa Fe. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything super special. There's lots of better places to eat. But it is on the plaza which is nice, and has a cool southwest vibe and lively atmosphere.

The new owners are serving breakfast on weekends until 3pm. The carne adovada with eggs, potatoes, beans and red or green chile is outstanding and a great value at $8. The green chile cheeseburger is a fan favorite and the tuna steak entree atop risotto and topped with grape tomatoes is a must. Been a fan for years, very dependable.

We were and the Lensic center and was hungry after the concert. We saw their menu and liked what we saw and decided to give it a shot. I had their Bloody Mary with green chile and it was pretty good, my husband enjoyed his amber beer. We got the chips and salsa as appetizer, the salsa did not leave any lasting impression. It was tomatillo and regular salsa, neither was flavorful. I ordered their pasta dish with seafood; they make their pasta in house; and my vegetarian husband ordered the vegetable enchilada. We waited 30min till our waitress let us know the kitchen messed up our order and it should be right out. Another 15min and we finally got our food and it was filled with disappointment. My pasta was over cooked and mushy, I couldn't fork up a single noodle it was all clumpy and the flavor was bland. My husband's dish was also bland and had no flavor. (I feel like I am overusing the work bland, but that's the only word that best fit the food) I would recommend this place to grab a drink but not food.

There are quite a few restaurants in Santa Fe that serve Mexican food, and I love Mexican food, but my girlfriend is not so keen, so we decided to try this place because they have _some_ Mexican food, but a lot of other stuff, too. Great staff, we could always find a place at the bar, and the food is excellent. This is our THIRD day in a row of eating dinner here on our road trip. Definitely check it out.

Stopped in just after 2pm for a late lunch. Order was taken quickly but it became evident after 20 minutes that our order was misplaced or otherwise overlooked. Waitress didn't seem to notice. My blackened Mahi tacos were bland as were the rice and beans.

We had our rehearsal dinner here... It was AMAZING! The owners were great! They made a menu just for us! We have around 70 people maybe more. Which in Santa Fe it's hard finding a place that will do that! The food came out fast and it was sooooo good! The best food I've had in Santa Fe honestly. Everything we had was very good! The owners even gave us some bottles of wine that were very cool! They were wedding themed. It was so sweet! Something we will have for years! The art on the bottles reminded me of our wedding! This is a great place! We will be back for sure! Thankyou for making our rehearsal dinner amazing!

We stopped in for a drink and an appetizer, and stayed for dinner. The salmon special was my wife's choice, and she loved it. She loved her cosmo, too!! I ordered the black pepper steak salad, and it was delicious. A nice blend of greens, fresh fruit, blue cheese, and red pepper salad dressing. I also added the jalapeño salsa they brought for my wife's salmon. A nice addition!! The Malbec wine was so-so, but the IPA draft was perfect. definately worth the walk up the steps...or go ahead and ride the elevator!! Good service, too.

One word, Horrible! Waited 15 min for a server to get to our table. Then waited 50 min for our food to get to the table, then our food was over cooked. The worst part was they weren't even busy there was only 6 tables with people eating.

I had grilled chicken sandwich, it was very good but wish I had shared with my hubby as the portion size was huge...service was terrible...our waitress took our order, our food was served by someone different and we never saw her again until time to pay, we had to ask a different waiter to get us water.

Friendly attentive staff with an open kitchen. I cant complain about the food, but I didn't love it either. We got the chicken enchiladas and the spaghetti bolognese, the enchiladas Were served with a red sauce that was very spicy but flavorful. The pasta sauce is good and served on noodles that i believe are rice noodles? It was the first time ive seen that combo and it was good.

I was sad to see that not many people had reviewed this restaurant much in 2013, so I figured I'd go try it, and then write a review for them! So here it goes... First, the restaurant is beautiful. Bright, light wood, copper light fixtures, open kitchen, nice bar. Not a bad place to sit at all. The service was great. The food was good. Not mind blowing, but good. This place was easy and nice. So try it and give them more reviews!

Not a great experience. Waiter, although friendly, seemed scattered and forgetful. Apps were good- we had calamari and chips and salsa which were both quite good, but my husband's tuna was way over-cooked and was obviously a frozen patty. My ravioli tasted bland and heavy, not fresh at all. Son had a burger which actually seemed quite good and fries were tasty as well. Might be better for bar food and not any real efforts at items beyond that.

I'm actually sitting here now eating and drinking a pomegranate mimosa that I had them make. Pretty cool place with a good atmosphere. I'm ordering the steak sandwich for lunch which I'm told by the bartender is awesome! I was going to order the enchilada but he said they're spicy. Happy Eating!

On my trip to Santa Fe, I was downtown and was pretty hungry -- so after walking around a few times, I found this place. First off, it is upstairs, with the menu outside the door downstairs. From looking at the menu and prices, it was about right for a sit-down restaurant. The decor was nice, staff were friendly, and if you got to sit by the window, a pretty good view as well. As for the food, I ordered a BBQ Pork Sandwich, and it was quite good. On par with the other restaurants I've tried. My party enjoyed their Steak and Eggs, along with their Soup and Turkey sandwich as well. For the price, the food was good, but average. There's nothing that sets it apart from the competition. Overall, it's a great place to come and meet up with friends, a quick brunch/lunch, or if you're in the area and looking for a bite, this would be the place to go.

We have eaten here various times and have never had a bad meal or experience if your in the plaza it's a great stop for food or to have a beer with friends after work. We will be back very soon. On a side note the pulled pork sandwich with homemade chips are to die for

My burger was sort of a fixer-upper. It was like an early 90s model, you know like before the great burger revolution of 2010 when burgers were stepped up, WAY WAY up. Due to a great number of restaurants kicking the burger up a notch, it is not enough to slam a plain beef patty on a bland stale bun and call it good. Burgers have evolved. Any way I tried to add chile and bleu cheese to start, but no flavor. So I added a little salt... then I added mayo. It started to take on a little character. So I added mayo to the bottom bun too. Darn, too much mayo so I had to scrape it off.... hmm pepper? Anything? You get the point. I tried and failed to make this bland slab of meat noticeable in that bland-ass bun it was wearing. So if you can imagine, my mouth by this point is totally dried out and I can hardly chew, but my water is empty so I have to get up and walk over to the bartender and ask for a refill. Woah! The bartender WAS my waitress. That explains it. At least I don't blame her, but what the hell is the bartender doing waiting tables? The burger came with french fries that were cooked in ancient grease so that you instantly got a sticky yucky film around your mouth. (BTW if you didn't know, the film is caused by using the same grease for more than 5 days straight.) They were lukewarm, soggy, bland, and pathetic. Other than the bland food and the absent service and the stinky disgusting bathroom, I guess the location is good.

Service at the bar is terrific for lunchtime on a Saturday. I tried the fried oysters (yeah, I know...seafood in NM and I'm from Boston) - they were FANTASTIC. Large and only lightly fried. The chicken burrito was the main course and it was huge (two could share it). Best part, only $10. Loved it here....especially since I just stumbled upon it.

The service started good but my kids food was served and they were done eating by the time my husband and I's food were served. My tortillas were soggy, cold and not very much meat on them. My husbands food was tasty but cold except his chile relleno. I think they messed up his relleno and the rest of the food was sitting. Nobody checked on us until we were done and then offered a dessert but my kids were at there limit of sitting in a restaurant.

We stopped in for an afternoon drink, so I can't comment on the food. I got the marble red ale and the wife got a margarita. She liked hers a lot, said it was excellent. The bartender warned me that the red was not pouring right. The first glass he gave me was horrible--tasted like fermented grapefruit juice. So bitter I could not drink it. The bartender gladly exchanged it and the second glass of the same was fine. Pints are $4.50. We sat at the bar and had a good time for an hour so we had a pleasant experience. Would return.

Another place around the "square" to grab a bite to eat that won't break the bank. We had lunch here today. It was busy. I had the fish sandwhich. It was ok. A bit overpriced for what it was....a small piece of cod, large bun, chips, and a pickle. If I were to eat there again, I would get a salad, or the chicken sandwhich. The other person I was with had a burger which she said was fine. They also have salads. Not a huge menu, but they cover the basics of what most people would choose for a quick bite to eat. The interior is nothing to write home about. But the service was fairly quick and friendly. This restaurant is also located on the second floor. I did notice their is an elevator at the bottom of the stairs for people who can't do the stairs. Also, if you are visiting Santa Fe and normally live in substantially lower elevation, drink plenty of water during the day and at night before you go to bed. Otherwise you may find yourself with a persistant dull headache. It takes a while to acclimate to the altitude here. And it is very easy to dehydrate.

This was nothing spectacular. The food was just okay. What I had DID taste fresh though. The service was great and the waitress was very attentive. It WAS a nice place to stop for a drink and snack while you are wondering around the Plaza. On some nights they have live music. The band that was there that night had a guy who was being kind of inappropriate and the waitress and manager had to warn him a few times. I think he was drunk. I had a nice time and wasn't totally disappointed but would only stop there again if it was convenient to do so.

My boyfriend and I arrived in Santa Fe yesterday evening and headed to the Plaza to check it out. To our dismay, everything was closed, and our stomachs were grumbling. The only place we could find that was open was San Francisco Street Bar and Grill. Menu sounded decent, so we decided why not. The beer selection was pretty decent (I made a joke about clearly not being in Texas anymore, as they didn't have Lonestar or Shiner Bock) so I went for a local beer, Santa Fe Pale Ale. The atmosphere was nice. Catering to a much different crowd than what we're used to in Austin, which was refreshing. I had their chicken enchiladas, which despite being very, very spicy (no mention of this in the menu) it was delicious. My boyfriend had the half roasted chicken in a honey-teriyaki glaze and sweet potato fries. Mine was delicious, but his was the epitome of savory. In his words, "one of the best meals I have ever had." The waitstaff was very nice, and the bar was big and had basketball on. Would return.

Definitely not a must go...the chicken enchiladas were terrible and the green chile flavorless. I guess the wings are good but I'm sorry a restaurant cannot base their reputation on wings with a full menu to choose from. Try another!

This places seems out of the ordinary in Santa Fe surrounded by most places that sell New Mexican cuisine. We ate here because it became apparent that everything in Santa Fe closes at sundown and this places was one of the few open on Sunday evening. The hostess was really nice and sat us right away. Our waitress was perky and ready to tell us about what the restaurant had to offer. They didnt have much on the menu but honestly we werent expecting too much. We ordered chips and salsa, the salsa was a little bland. My bf ordered some kind of chicken dish and I ordered chicken enchiladas christmas style (one red and one green chille) that came with rice and black beans. The red chile was really good and had a great kick to it. The green chile was alright, nothing to write home about. The rice was kind of like rice-a-roni and the black beans lacked flavor. All in all, if it werent for the spunkiness of the waitress, our experience would have been something forgetful.

Good place for groups in Santa Fe. Nothing fancy or spectacular, but pretty good food in a nice, clean space. A big bar and TV if you want to watch sports, and it's right off the Plaza so you can walk there from anywhere. It's not New Mexico food, really, but there's something for everyone--salads, burgers, fish, chicken, etc. A good place for picky groups. They have a good beer selection as well. It's also a good place to take kids. Good service too. It wouldn't take much to bump it up to four stars, but they'll have to do something to make that happen.

Swung by to try their " Brunch " .. G/friend and I was had been there the day before on a walking food tour of Santa Fe.. A waitress had recommended we come back for the brunch.. We came in thru a back entrance.. The manager was sitting at the bar eating and asked if we needed help ? .. Kinda odd.. I should have replied that I heard they served food here and wanted to try some.. This should have been our first clue .. OJ arrived filled with ice.. Waitress got irritated when we requested OJ with no ice.. Then we had the nerve to inquire if we could get pancakes on the side.. We were informed that if pancakes were available they would have been mentioned on the " Brunch " menu .. What kind of place serves breakfast and can't make pancakes ? Anyway.. The food was extremely average.. Nothing impresses.. Nice presentation but bland.. Denny's can do a better breakfast

One of the best steak sandwiches ever. A great tender steak cooked to perfection. Topped with provolone and marinated green and red peppers. Brightened up with a refreshing jalapeño aoili. I would have preferred a fresh salad choice rather than batter fried steak fries, but the sandwich was so amazing I didn't mind. And I have to say being there during one of their busiest weekends, service or the food wasn't compromised.

We ended up here after Cafe Pasqual's was too crowded for a late Sunday afternoon lunch. Our waitress seemed incredibly frazzled, but the restaurant portion only seemed about half full. We went upstairs where there is a full bar, but were seated at a table right next to the kitchen and waiter's galley. Not a pleasant view, but Ms. Frazzle was already gone before we could ask for another table. Food: Ordered the Hummus and vegetables as an appetizer. I had the chicken sandwich. The roasted peppers made the sandwich. My boyfriend had the NY Strip Steak sandwich. He liked it, but also likes almost anything. The place was pretty good for what we needed at the moment. I would explore some other places before returning here though.

While the bartender's creative ability to make a Black and Tan out of Guiness and an Irish Red was a delicious outcome, the food was only mediocre and the overall feel of the restaurant lacked a sense of cleanliness. We sat in the bar and there was an odor that emanated from the back of the restaurant presenting like a backed up toilet...I kept waiting for toilet water to come oozing out on to the bar area floor, but thankfully that never happened. This place used to have a killer burger but it now pales in comparison to others in town. Prices are sharp and hurt the wallet for what you get...

2.5 stars is my real vote, but until they make that possible.... Stopped in here for dinner after looking at the menu, a long day and no motivation to keep walking back and forth checking out menus...should've kept walking. The decor could use some work, the dining area is BLAH, basic "Denny's-esque tables", some nicer tables/chairs and better lighing would do wonders in this place. My husband and I each had one of the specials, mine was bacon wrapped prawns with polenta, my husband had a linguini with clams. The prawns were "ok" but the polenta was covered with a bright yellow/orange sauce that looked, and almost tasted of---ballpark nacho cheese---ewwww! I had to stop on the way out to look at the menu to figure out that it was a "chipotle saffron sauce" hmm, didn't taste great whatever it was. For my daugther, the kids menu sucked (as usua) everything with cheese and fries. We had them do some grilled chicken and substituted the fries with mashed butternut squash but it was served nearly cold. Overall the place was ok, not great, not awful, pricey for the awful ambiance though.

Nice enough place, upstairs with an apparently good bar (I just had a beer). But the food wasn't that great -- it felt fairly simple and didn't have a ton of flavor. I'd reccomend trying somewhere else on San Francisco street.

Saw the SF B&G from the plaza and decided to do lunch there. Hot day and the broken A/C might have driven this review down. We sat at the bar, I had a black & tan (they used a local ipa instead of lager - blech), the grand silver, silver coin, and horny toad margs. Margaritas were pretty good with the horny toad my favorite. I ate the cobb salad - which was good and the wife had the green chili chix enchilada.

We were really pleased. We had enchilladas covered with an egg...and the egg was cooked medium to our specifications (rare in the southwest). The food was good, the service a bit slow (we were almost the only ones in the restaurant). Each of our dishes had some flavor which was surprising but worked.

Happy hour near the plaza in downtown Santa Fe, why not? Up a short flight of steps and on to the bar! We were in the market for a couple of drinks and some snacks, so walking by the San Francisco St B & G we made of spur of the moment decision. Happy hour margarita specials were right up our alley and luckily, they were quite tasty as well. The bartender was pleasant and there was sports playing on the TVs. Good place to lay back and chill for a bit out of the winter cold. Not super busy, which seemed a little surprising to me. Maybe because it's upstairs on a corner. I'm not sure. We shared a couple of appetizers. The hummus plate was awesome. Fresh warm pita bread triangles and veggie sticks. Yum-O! We also had the tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa, not my favorite in the city, but good none the less. I wouldn't mind stopping back into this place again. Probably around happy hour. =)

We did not dine here. But if you are on a ski vacation in Santa Fe and you've eaten out other nights and want a place for takeout to bring back tasty meals of burgers and fries to your family, this hit the spot on a cold Jan. 2 night.

Ordered the burger and it was pretty good. Nice place but nothing special here. I can get the same food back home in Minneapolis.

If the service and cuisine was HALF as good as the interior decor, this place might be decent. But keeping this short and simple, my food and a companion's food was terrible (and on items that are easily in the "hard to screw up category"), the rest of the grub for the rest of our party just marginal, the service just "eh", and with other options in the immediate vicinity like Cafe Paris, one really should not waste one's time here if edible food is what you're looking for. It's a beautiful space in a great location, but WOW does it SOOO not deliver on the eats.

We stopped here on a sunday night recently, and ordered burrito platters. Walking back from the mens room, I saw them being prepared in the open plan kitchen. Mushy, watered down chicken was spooned from a tub into a tortilla without any seasoning or spice and microwaved. The red chili on the side? Also nuked, arrived with a film. Disgusting, bland, wet food. Bar smelled like a rubbish bin. Worst experience ever in 10 visits to SF.

This is a great place to sit down with friends and have some beers and a bite to eat. I only went here in the evenings and off-season, but it is the cheapest place to get some great local beers in downtown Santa Fe area. Most other places charge an arm and a leg, but happy hour should be spent here. I cannot vouch for the restaurant portion of this place, but the pub grub is above average and the beers are very reasonable and they have a good selection.

this place should get 3 stars based just on food, since it isn't the best in santa fe, but it is by no means the worst. this place should get more business because it is right on the plaza, and the inside is very nice. the bar setup is very nice-enormous stock of booze, and great beers on tap. the atmosphere is classy, although not super high class and the food isnt super expensive. more people should check this place out because it is truly a nice joint. just a bit tucked away across from the ore house :)

I disagree with David D -- the food should be a 4 star. The place should be a 4 1/2 in its category. Its very clean, kind of cool, the food presentations are usually excellent and some of the dishes are quite good. In fact, when they can get trout from Colorado, their stuffed trout dish is definitely gourmet level -- the best of that dish I can recall ever having. As the name implies, there is a full bar, but its set apart from the main dining area and so you will have no qualms about bringing kids there. The owner, Rob also owns the Santa Fe Bar and Grill in the De Vargas Mall, but the San Francisco St. Bar and Grill is a bit more upscale. The staff is accommodating -- I've probably asked for a special accommodation on a dish about five times and each time it was done without hesitation and done well. Every now and then there is an inconsistency in a dish (different cook usually), but overall consistency is good. One of the best values for the money in Santa Fe. Note that location is odd -- its on the corner of San Francisco and Don Gaspar, but upstairs. There is both a long stair and an elevator available -- just go in as if visiting the store and look to the right (yes, there are signs, but a lot of people just don't expect a restaurant upstairs there). It really is clean -- one of the cleanest bathrooms in any restaurant in Santa Fe. In the daytime there is a delightful view out of a North-facing large set of window creating an airy and soothing atmosphere. Oddly enough, its also a wifi hot spot and during non-busy hours (e.g. 3-4:40 pm) you can lounge around with your computer enjoying drinks or deserts. Anyway, I like it a lot and I've been to almost every restaurant around the plaza (this one is almost on the corner of the plaza). Its kind of a fusion of American and local food. A retired restaurant owner from Manhattan I met there rated it just as I do -- one the the two best deals in that vicinity.

I had grilled chicken sandwich, it was very good but wish I had shared with my hubby as the portion size was huge...service was terrible...our waitress took our order, our food was served by someone different and we never saw her again until time to pay, we had to ask a different waiter to get us water.

Very good service, great pan seared shrimp salad. There in the afternoon quiet easy to talk without loud music.

2 night.

(1)Meredith T.

This place was great, we were greeted quickly and taken to a table. It was clean and ready for us. Our server was great, he offered a selection of local brews and brought some over to taste. When it came to selecting an entrée he suggested going with the cheese burger over the steak sandwich. His choice was spot on. We will be back.

(3)Richard B.
(1)LJ E.
(2)Peggy B.
The butternut squash ravioli is so awesome. The portion size is perfect. The predator wine is so good. Has a great pic of a ladybug on the bottle and very organic. Try it you will not be disappointed!

My girlfriend ordered linguine pasta and the dish had spiral noodles that was very over cooked. The chef has no clue what he's doing.

(1)Michael S.
(1)Douglas W.
'sok. Nothing too amazing, but surprisingly reasonably priced for Plaza area, and pretty spacious.
(3)Lauren H.
(3)Robert F.

(2)John B.

Visiting from out of town. Came for late lunch, around 1:30. Were seated promptly and staff was courteous. Food was well cooked and fresh. But the wait for the food was very long.

Great place, great dranks, great grub, excellent service. East coasters and wing aficionados: WINGS. True Buffalo.

I had grilled chicken sandwich, it was very good but wish I had shared with my hubby as the portion size was huge...service was terrible...our waitress took our order, our food was served by someone different and we never saw her again until time to pay, we had to ask a different waiter to get us water.
(2)Pranqster Z.

(4)Lisa W.
This place is really great! Good food! Great bar! Server is super nice and one step ahead of us.

Awful the staff the manager and the food just bad all the way around!!! Do not go here!!!
(1)Julie P.
(2)Joe R.

(3)Evan G.

(4)Candice A.

(4)G S.
Definitely not a must go...the chicken enchiladas were terrible and the green chile flavorless. I guess the wings are good but I'm sorry a restaurant cannot base their reputation on wings with a full menu to choose from. Try another!
(2)Daniel E.
(3)Greg M.

(3)Dave D.
Nice enough place, upstairs with an apparently good bar (I just had a beer). But the food wasn't that great -- it felt fairly simple and didn't have a ton of flavor. I'd reccomend trying somewhere else on San Francisco street.
(2)Matt H.
(3)Chris U.

(4)Mark I.
We did not dine here. But if you are on a ski vacation in Santa Fe and you've eaten out other nights and want a place for takeout to bring back tasty meals of burgers and fries to your family, this hit the spot on a cold Jan. 2 night.
(4)Richard A.
Ordered the burger and it was pretty good. Nice place but nothing special here. I can get the same food back home in Minneapolis.
(3)J S.
(1)Richard H.

(4)David D.
this place should get 3 stars based just on food, since it isn't the best in santa fe, but it is by no means the worst. this place should get more business because it is right on the plaza, and the inside is very nice. the bar setup is very nice-enormous stock of booze, and great beers on tap. the atmosphere is classy, although not super high class and the food isnt super expensive. more people should check this place out because it is truly a nice joint. just a bit tucked away across from the ore house :)
(4)Steven P.

(4)Jeff B.

The butternut squash ravioli is so awesome. The portion size is perfect. The predator wine is so good. Has a great pic of a ladybug on the bottle and very organic. Try it you will not be disappointed!
(4)Blake C.
My girlfriend ordered linguine pasta and the dish had spiral noodles that was very over cooked. The chef has no clue what he's doing.

(1)Barbara T.
Ordered a steak sandwich and it was all fat. Took one bite and sent it back. Ruined my appetite completely! Won't go back there again nor would I recommend it!
(2)Will H.
(5)Kellie C.

(1)Meredith T.

'sok. Nothing too amazing, but surprisingly reasonably priced for Plaza area, and pretty spacious.
(3)Lauren H.
(3)Robert F.

Great place, great dranks, great grub, excellent service. East coasters and wing aficionados: WINGS. True Buffalo.
(5)Janice B.
I had grilled chicken sandwich, it was very good but wish I had shared with my hubby as the portion size was huge...service was terrible...our waitress took our order, our food was served by someone different and we never saw her again until time to pay, we had to ask a different waiter to get us water.

(2)John B.
(5)Jesse D.
Stopped in just after 2pm for a late lunch. Order was taken quickly but it became evident after 20 minutes that our order was misplaced or otherwise overlooked. Waitress didn't seem to notice. My blackened Mahi tacos were bland as were the rice and beans.
(2)kate c.
(5)Jeff T.
(5)Natalie K.
One word, Horrible! Waited 15 min for a server to get to our table. Then waited 50 min for our food to get to the table, then our food was over cooked. The worst part was they weren't even busy there was only 6 tables with people eating.
(1)Pranqster Z.

(4)Lisa W.
This place is really great! Good food! Great bar! Server is super nice and one step ahead of us.
(4)Todd A.
Awful the staff the manager and the food just bad all the way around!!! Do not go here!!!
(1)Julie P.
(2)Joe R.

(3)Evan G.
We have eaten here various times and have never had a bad meal or experience if your in the plaza it's a great stop for food or to have a beer with friends after work. We will be back very soon. On a side note the pulled pork sandwich with homemade chips are to die for
(5)Bill B.
(4)Candice A.

(3)Cocos B.
(2)Rennie C.
(2)Sadie P.
It was a great place to stop and have a beer, the service was not wonderful but they had a good selection of beers. Out of all the little places we stopped this was not the best. But they did provide and clean and simple place to grab a beer between shopping and people watching.
(3)Scott B.
Great salad. Good friendly service at the bar.
(4)David P.
The food and service were excellent and the prices very reasonable. Home fettuccine was amazing and they have a great happy hour menu as well. We will definitely return!
(5)James T.
Very good service, great pan seared shrimp salad. There in the afternoon quiet easy to talk without loud music.
(4)Carl P.

(3)Greg M.

Visiting from out of town. Came for late lunch, around 1:30. Were seated promptly and staff was courteous. Food was well cooked and fresh. But the wait for the food was very long.

(4)G S.
Definitely not a must go...the chicken enchiladas were terrible and the green chile flavorless. I guess the wings are good but I'm sorry a restaurant cannot base their reputation on wings with a full menu to choose from. Try another!
(2)Chris U.
We were really pleased. We had enchilladas covered with an egg...and the egg was cooked medium to our specifications (rare in the southwest). The food was good, the service a bit slow (we were almost the only ones in the restaurant). Each of our dishes had some flavor which was surprising but worked.
(4)Dawn M.
(4)Mark I.
We did not dine here. But if you are on a ski vacation in Santa Fe and you've eaten out other nights and want a place for takeout to bring back tasty meals of burgers and fries to your family, this hit the spot on a cold Jan. 2 night.
(4)Krista F.
(3)Carl P.
(2)Jennifer W.
(3)Dave D.
Nice enough place, upstairs with an apparently good bar (I just had a beer). But the food wasn't that great -- it felt fairly simple and didn't have a ton of flavor. I'd reccomend trying somewhere else on San Francisco street.
(2)Matt H.
(3)Richard A.
Ordered the burger and it was pretty good. Nice place but nothing special here. I can get the same food back home in Minneapolis.
(3)Sam A.
(3)Derek B.
Meh. I'm sure there are MUCH MUCH better places to grab lunch in Santa Fe. We were starving, the weather was sucky and tired of looking for a place to eat. Service was not that good, the food wasn't special and it basically feels like a TGI Friday's. Find something else!
(2)Andrew M.
